Hypostase is a portal into psychedelic darkness. Organic machines and kaleidoscopic rhythms disrupt reality itself with rippling anomalies. A pulse of immense energy overtakes your body, propelling you into liminal spaces framed by shivering concrete walls.

Your skin vibrates, your vision dissolves. Embracing the techno ether, you fuse with its fibers, ascending to an unknown plane of clarity. Boundless and untethered, you become the rhythm, the scream, the pulse of the infinite. Resonating with the psychedelic darkness, you rave at the edge of reality, ecstatic in the spiraling dance of creation.

Hypostase is the solo project of producer and multi-instrumentalist Alexander Paul Dowerk, born from years of sonic exploration and a relentless drive for adventurous sound art. His work fuses futuristic industrial soundscapes, organic electronics, and crushing metal guitars – crafted for maximum impact and emotional depth.

The music is driven by relentless technoid kick drums, intricately woven into a complex web of polyrhythmic machinery – an unmistakable reflection of his experiences within the vibrant Berlin techno scene. Layered performances of distorted synths and heavy guitars create dark, three-dimensional sonic spaces, executed with an obsessive attention to detail.

Each piece radiates a trance-like energy, often erupting into climaxes of raw human emotion and unhinged metal frenzy.

Among hardware and software synths Alexander performs both guitar and bass parts using the U8 and S8 Touch Guitars, combining traditional playing techniques with advanced touchstyle methods. This approach allows him to create musical passages impossible to achieve on conventional string instruments.

His distinctive playing also fuels projects like Tonnen von Hall, Anchor and Burden, and ZweiTon—each a testament to his mastery of complex, intense, and boundary-pushing music.
